The Difference Between Live Set And DJ Set

I’ll try and word this right.
But recently i’ve seen bands with tour lists (Pendulum, Mystery Jets, Editors and Babyshambles) that have either live or DJ set after them, so the question is, what is the difference?
A live set is a live band doing the instruments and vocals.
A DJ set is one guy working at a DJ station to add instruments and vocals.
ok well a live set is when the band is actually playing the music, a dj set is when a dj puts the studio records on.
btw Babyshambles is amazing!

i wonder the same thing, just never think about asking anyone that might know what theyre talking about. so when its a dj or dj duo (two guys) the REAL question is how does a dj perform a live set?? almost doesnt make any sense to me.i get that a band can do a dj set. i dont get how a dj can advertise in a tour that he is doing a live set. for example simian mobile disco has live and dj sets on their myspace tour list right now. WHATS THE DEAL!?
In a DJ set… a Dj jus rolls out trak after trak till he drops out!!
Live set is where the Dj/Artist uses synths,turntables,DAWs and Mixerboard to add new tunes and variations live creating totally a different version of the song.
a live set is same as a Dj set but it wont be planned.. they will play a set that is determined by a crowds mood… a Dj set is pre planned and in some cases is mixed before hand.. if not they are mixing songs they previously have mixed before in a rehearsal,, hence why one is called a live set
